Rovi Packaging’s compostable bags are made from 100% vegetable-based plastic, they are compostable, biodegradable and recyclable bags. Our compostable bags are made from vegetable resources such as potato starch or corn. They have the same properties in terms of resistance as conventional plastic bags of fossil origin. The compostable films are translucent white and can be manufactured in a variety of formats and sizes. They are ideal for the transport of all kinds of products, including foodstuffs.
Our material has the “OK Compost” quality seal. The “OK COMPOST” certification validates that these bags are 100% biodegradable and compostable and comply with the European standard on biodegradability and compostability (EN-13432:2000).
Through the process of industrial composting these films are converted into natural fertilizer for organic farming and therefore we are recycling and reusing resources.

On the first call we ask a lot of questions. We need to know your needs and to be able to capture all the necessary points and aspects that your packaging project of compostable bags needs.
We carry out an internal study of all the costs and we give you a closed budget that we send you in a maximum of 72 hours.
Once you approve the quotation, we get down to business and focus on getting our compostable bag factory up and running.
Once the product has been manufactured, our quality control department verifies that the compostable bags comply with Rovi Packaging standards and if everything is in order we deliver the order.

There is a great variety of materials that allow us to replace conventional plastic, being the biodegradable films and recycled plastics, which are having a better acceptance.
Recycled plastics must always have a percentage of non-recycled plastic to be produced, so they are not the most environmentally friendly solution.
On the other hand we also find water-soluble plastics, which are also biodegradable like compostable plastics, however they do not have the same strength and durability as compostable plastic.
Other alternatives are paper and cloth bags, the latter being famous for their reusability.
Finally, we must also consider cloth bags, which can be reused many times. Cotton, jute and juco are examples of fabric materials that are being used more and more because of their ability to be reused and therefore reduce waste.

The project with Clementine aimed to transfer its organic cosmetics value proposition to its packaging and maintain brand consistency. That is why we developed the ecommerce envelope with the message "BYE BYE PLASTIC", to communicate to the final consumer that the standards of the brand are maintained in every detail.
In this case, the brand is aware of the impact of its product on the environment, which is why we developed this project with them. The purpose is to provide a recycled plastic bag to consumers to recycle coffee capsules.
